With attitude rich styling and photography inspired by the Zazou's (a 1940's subculture in Paris) this editorial for Ann Demeulemeester emphasises the transgression and mild gothic aesthetic of the Belgian designer's self-titled label. High contrast colour adjustments have been made to create images that are minimal yet impactful and emphasise the dominant narrative that inspired the styling of these images. Broad shoulders, flared trousers and abstract accessories create a balance of the grotesque and the glamorous.
